High Tensile Brass are alloys of Copper and Zinc. HT2 is a duplex or alpha/beta alloy. Brass alloy HT2 is a versatile high strength, hot workable, machinable engineering alloy sometimes referred to as a Manganese Bronze or High Tensile Brass.

High tensile brass castings exhibit high strengths and cost less than comparable high strength alloys. HTB1 has good resistance to both corrosion and oxidation. HTB1 castings are often heat treated to restore the alloy structure to its optimum condition and to further increase its resistance to corrosion.
